Are Dyslexic Designers Better Thinkers?

Are dyslexic designers better thinkers? This is a question I have pondered over and would be interested to hear your thoughts.

For many years I and many others struggle with normal day to day activities such as reading, writing and spelling this has been classified as dyslexia and a disability by the government!

But is it really a disability?

It certainly brings challenges but I believe it’s NOT! People with dyslexia are not suffering we are highly creative problem solvers like me. Dyslexia forces me to interpret the world differently, which I use to my advantage through my design work, it helps me to identify solutions to problems that others might overlook. Therefore I don’t feel hindered by being a dyslexic designer.

Isn’t that what you want from your designer?

A brain that thinks better and visualises in it’s most unique way possible helping your business to tell stories that will not only engage, inform, surprise, delight, and impact your target audience, but that will also deliver on measurable business goals.
